Lowes in Long Branch, New Jersey - Fence is falling apart

We had a dog eared stick built fence installed in December 2018. Since then one whole section fell apart. They came and fixed that section. As of May 2019 I see more pieces coming off the post. We paid a lot of money for a fence that is falling apart. We will never deal with Lowes located in Brick, New Jersey again.

I've been waiting two weeks for an associate to call me back with an estimate for an installation. I can't get hold of anyone. This store is so bad they don't even answer the store phone. I even tried to call during the day at 10:30am and 2:30pm, you figure someone would be available during those times. Nope, just rings and rings. I contacted the corporate office to complain and they said the store manager would call me back in 24 hours and it's now been 3 days. Also, when you go in the store there is never anyone in the isles for assistance. You're pretty much on your own.

I purchased carpet/runner for my new home and it was to be installed in two separate visits. The carpet was installed without issue however the runner installation has become a DISASTER. The 3rd party installers called my husband to schedule installation for Thurs June 11 from 2-5pm. By 3 pm no one had arrived and my husband called the installers and they were closed. At 5 pm my husband called Lowes and was told he would be called back. When he was called back he was told they were an hour late (would be there at 6pm). No one called to tell us this before and we had to pick up our kids from school so could not wait for the installers. My husband is in sales so if he is not working he is not making money and he took off 3 hours to sit and wait as schedules for the installers who never called to say they were late. I came home early from work (and also had to lose money for leaving early to deal with this and get my kids), and spent 45 minutes trying to speak to someone at Lowes to find out what was going on. I was disconnected 3x before I spoke to a person. When I finally spoke to someone I was told that the installers were now running even later and could be there 6:45. I was asked what solution was acceptable and I told them that I was not willing to have my husband wait another 3 hours for installers and that I would need someone to come back with a tighter window and I would want compensation for my time wasted. I was told that someone from the install co. would call me the very next day at 8am (the owner) to reschedule and to offer me compensation. The next day (today) as promised, the owner called me and tried to reschedule for today (Fri), barely apologized for the fact that his installers were running 3 hours late and tried to tell me that they did call to say they were late. Which is a LIE. Neither my husband or I heard from anyone about anything and would not have known they were even late if we hadn't called ourselves. And then of course, he did not offer compensation. I called Lowes immediately and spoke to an assistant Mgr who attempted to resolve this and I then received more calls from install trying to schedule today which I declined and still no offer from anyone for compensation. I then received another call from a different Lowes asst mgr to tell me the best they can do is offer a measly $100 cash payout for my time. My runner was $800!. End result I cancelled the runner. This is too much frustration and too much time wasted. I don't want that lying install co back in my house after the rude treatment I received, nor do I want to do business with Lowes flooring any longer. The time my husband and I wasted dealing with this nonsense yesterday and today is worth more than $100... LOWE'S... SHAME ON YOU!

Lowes in Camden, New Jersey - Home Delivery Screw-up

They were supposed to deliver a washer and dryer last saturday. They only showed up with the dryer. Re-scheduled for Sunday. Told me I needed a part for the install. They installed it on sunday without the part. (I didn't need it) Washer doesn't work correctly. Sounds like a 747. Scheduled a new washer to be delivered on Thursday. Message said they would be here at 4 PM. They showed up at 2:30 before I arrived home, so they left. Store employee offered me a 10% credit after the washer arrives and I feel it is working correctly. Store manager last week admitted that Lowe's has been having many internal problems. This is not my first negative experience with Lowe's. I truly do not believe that the store cares about good service or trying to keep me as a customer. And, I seriously doubt that the corporate office cares at all. In this day and age, I would be doing anything to try to keep customers who just spent $1500.00 happy. Not Lowe's.

Morning deliveries are 8-12. Afternoon are 12-4.

There is no "4PM" delivery, and no one would promise an exact time like that because the delivery before you might need to have all the doors taken off their house to get their fridge inside. You made that up.

A sales person came out no literature . We were looking for pool code fence in backyard. We referenced one from The store and when the sales man came out we also were interested in getting our front yard done .the fence we referenced for the back they charged us 15.00 more Panel because they don't install what they stock at store ???? Wtf found out after the fact. So the front yard the my wife referenced one she seen in the neighborhood yet again no literature . Sales man canceled contract signing so wife went out and he came when mother in law was here and let her sign contract b/c she finAnced it for us ??? My wife questions it when we got a receipt I'm mail " what did we order for for front yard. They said look it up by the sku# ... She could not they said o sometimes you can't , so sales man Called did not come here and said you know dog ear Floridian our most popular one a standard Pickett fence . My wife trust him and thought it was one they looked at in the neiborhood" never trust a professional sales man from lowes" once again never showed her a picture . It looked like a privacy fence that was a foot off the ground . Wheeled and dealed with us like a used car lot but wanted us to pay 750 for not admitting blame for the the sales man mistake all said and done it came down to them charging us 250 for a new install which I feel we should not pay any thing but the store manager said I have to pay something because I did not admit to any blame for not stoping the installation . It was to late to stop anything. Instead of lowes paying the 250 to fix problem they agreed to take fence out and refund out money . What *** resolve for there customer service coming from a store manager over 250 dollars

Lowes did not force you to buy anything and they did not create this problem. The problem is your comprehension.

And like you stated above your lack of effort to stop someone from installing something you did not want to begin with in the first place. Oh sure that's not the fencing I really wanted but go a head and install it anyways..............

Lowes in Moorestown Township, New Jersey - Defective floor tiles

Ordered tile through Lowe's web site. A month after installation the tiles started to fade in color. Contacted Lowes they refused to take responsibility referred me to manufacturer. I order from Lowe's not the manufacturer both parties refused to respond to my calls. Have been chasing the District Manager for Lowe's for two weeks now. I paid an excessive amount of money and ordered through Lowe's who bills themself as home improvement for the average person. They are now taking the position that I should have researched the tiles I purchased through the manufacturer. Lowe's did not have any disclaimers on their web site directing me to the manufacturer. To date Lowe's web site is not updated and contains the same information I received when I placed the order.

The retailer (Lowes) does not warranty the product. It is the manufacturer that offers a warranty.

Lowes is correct in referring you to the manufacturer. You should be spending you time going after the company that made the tile if there is a claim at all.

the lowe's home improvement store in whiteville nc has very poor customer service and a very unprofessional,unorganized, rude staff of employees.they refuse to validate items bought at their store even with the purchase receipt.they say that the receipt didn't exist.I even contacted the corporate office and lowes customer care.everyone please be very weary when purchasing from lowes,most definately the one in whiteville nc.they also have bogus contractors working for them that they send out to install and they lie and cheat which results in lowes paying them for installation and them charging me for installation too.THEY GET DOUBLE PAID!!!!!!!!!This is a rip off and they will never do work for me again and i will never purchase anything from them again,not even if they were the only store around.i would rather drive 500 miles to a store that had some employees with some respect for their customers and employees that had some sense.I am disgusted with this store.Home depot will definately be getting my business from now on.for those of you that shop lowes please be careful and good luck with being treated with any kind of respect and lets hope that you fair better with your purchases and receipts than i did!

It makes a lot of difference whether you are a woman or a man. Lowes is a very discriminating corporation (against women).., I did a little test to see if it was just me or if this was true.

Its true.

I had a male friend of mine make a return the same time I did. I was behind him in line...he had no problems.. I had the exact transaction and circumstances..... they did not accept my return.

There was a woman in line when we first got there...her's was also not accepted. they're ***

You are mistaken...I have had several installs from that store and they never or their installers never got paid twice. Shopping 500 miles from there sounds good for you and them given the current attitude and climate. Good luck going forwat d..lol :upset

Lowes in Newark, New Jersey - Lowe's poor store assistance and customer service

This past weekend on Saturday 8/11/11 I visited the Lowe's store at 20 International Drive South in Flanders, NJ 07836. I wanted to purchase a new garage door, and told an associate my door was 9 feet wide and they showed me an Amarr door model 500 (#101073 9 x 7) (steel with insulation). They told me this was a standard size, which I was led to believe would work fine. I purchased the door for $314.00, and brought it home and began installation. When getting to the top section I realized my door was taller than my garage opening. I altered the door's panel to make it fit. It fits but doesn't work right. After some research I found out that I should have ordered a 6 foot 6 inch door that has 2 middle 18" panels. I was told I can't return the door because I altered the 1 panel. So now I am trying to order these 2 18 inch panels. Neither Amarr will talk with me, they say I need to deal with Lowes who I bought it from. When I called Lowe's in Flanders again, they said I can't order just 2 18" panels, that in fact I had to special order an entire new door (no return for original door). After a full week after submitting this complaint, they have not resolved my issue. I am stuck with a useless garage door.

9x7 is a standard door. Why didn't YOU take the time to measure the door before you bought it or install it.

Sounds like you cut the top panel. Why do you even think they would want it back? Take responsibility for YOUR mistake. Buying the new door is the correct thing to do as you would need to order three panels.

The two middle panels and the top one you "altered" Typically is costs more to order three replacement panels than to order a complete door. Unfortunately you just had an expensive learning experience: Measure before you buy>
