Lowes had to refund my money...They should pay interest..They did nothing to keep me as a customer...Everytime I buy something for my home remodel at Home Depot I feel great..Lowes is missing out on about $30000 for my remodel.....Hope they go out of business!!!

Sounds bogus. Lowes has a very passive and strict policy about how they treat theft, or possible theft situations. They are more afraid of Lawers and lawsuits then they are of thieves.

believe it or not there are devious people out there. Customers that steal the new one and leave an old one to cover it up.

I am sure lowes does not physically inspect every package in the store every day. Looks like a deceitful customer got one over on you not lowes.

Lowes in Las Cruces, New Mexico - Extremely Poor Customer Relations...

Needed to purchase several thousand dollars worth of blinds for new home construction. Various Lowes associates at the Las Cruces, New Mexico store could not get together a consistent quote in time to take advantage of a one week 10% discount for opening a Lowes charge card. However, the manager, Kevin made memo that he would honor the discount once they could get the final quote together. After seven visits to Lowes and several differing quotes for the blinds, an associate gave me what she referred to as the final quote. At the checkout counter the cashier said she was not able to give me the 10% discount even though I had in hand a memo from Manager Kevin saying he would honor the discount. I requested to speak to Kevin and he proceeded speak to me in a very rude manner. Told me that the "final quote" was incorrect and should actually be $1400 more. He also stated that he wasn't going to make money on the transaction. When I requested he honor the 10% discount because I had opened a Lowe's account as discussed and it would help with the tax on the order, Kevin stated, "Everyone has to pay their taxes, lady." On the other hand, I do owe my sincere thanks to Lowes Manager Kevin. Because of his very rude behavior and lousy customer relations, I took the Lowes "final quote" to Home Depot where I subsequently placed my order for the EXACT same blinds. Home Depot was not only quick to quote, but very polite, helpful, and professional-- very unlike the experience at Lowes. So thank you Kevin for helping me save $900 over your lowest quote. Will never come back to Lowes, nor recommend to anyone.
