Lowes in Ogdensburg, New York - Worst experience in 27 years as a contractor.
After spending about $10,000 in the Ogdensberg, NY store this August (2018) we've experienced the most unorganized, unprofessional service. We ordered a carpet installation for a rental house in July from Lowe's mainly because they were running a special deal for free installation. They told us that they use a third party company to come out physically to the house to measure the rooms and that they would contact us within 3 days of the order being placed at Lowe's. After 2 weeks we contacted Lowe's about the contractor coming to the house and we were informed that the order was never placed. Then we were told that the deal for free installation has passed. We then pointed out that we had ordered installation prior to the end of the deal. With that being said, the employee stated that it wasn't for the type of carpet we ordered. Someone in the department found the original display that allowed the discount for our original order. Finally, a contractor contacted us and set up an appointment to measure the rooms and stairs. From there, we hadn't heard from Lowe's in about A week. We con The original timeline we were quoted work should be done in the third week of August. well that never happened then we were told September 4th thru 7th but we were promised that the employee could get the installation installed way before then so our rental would be ready for the tenant by the September 1st. In the Middle of August, the third party installer(service pro) called us with an installation date of mid October. After numerous phone calls and trips back and forth from Lowe's to get this straightened out we lost our prospective tenant. The third party company, ServicePro, hired a contractor to put in the carpet and it was installed on September 14th. However, they only had orders for 2 bedrooms and not the stairs. They also informed us that they would refuse to put Berber carpeting on the stairs anyway which is what we ordered for the installation. They installer also informed us that Lowe's makes mistakes like this numerous times. After they installed the carpet (unsupervised) we found the closet bi-fold doors not replaced and one was broken. After numerous calls and yet another trip to Lowe's, they agreed to give us a higher quality carpet for the stairs gratis. So they had to send out someone to measure yet again Unfortunately, after speaking with the installers, the date of installation would be past October 1st where we already had a new tenant moving in. At this point, we picked up the carpet from Lowe's and hired a local installer. After such a circus, we unfortunately decided to not patronize Lowe's in the future. The lack of help with this situation was unbelievable. The store Manager, Angel, said there was nothing he could do. It's a bad situation all around because I believe when the store has such a problem with communication, bashing and name blaming amongst its employees themselves and also outside contractors, the manager should want to resolve such a situation so as not to repeat it in the future. We've made 7 trips to Lowes over this mess; thirty-five minutes each way. Over 8 hours of driving for unprofessional lack of service. Store manager greg henry is the more arrogant people i have ever met. Lowes does not take returns after 90 days and home depot does with no problems- greg henry told me well thats lowes policy and i should shop at home depot - never going back. I spend over 10k-20k per year on materials for renovations - i am now home depot only shopper.

Dear Sir/Madam, Actually, to work for one of the biggest brand names in the Market as Lowes suppose to be an honored and must make sure the clients are always happy and satisfied with the service because the challenging in the Market is very touch nowadays. I'm one of the clients had a very bad experience with Lowes and will never ever deal or purchase any products anymore even it is for free. I will deal from now an later one with HomeDepot because it is very important to deal with professionals and not *** service. The reason of this complaint bout this manager (Mr. Woody). He is unprofessional and does not deserve to be a manager. I placed an order for a stand shower on 03/03/2017. I received an email that will arrive to the store on 03/14/2017 for pick up. I find Mr. Ryan is calling me on 03/13/2017 to inform me the vendor has a delay schedule and will be unable to deliver the stand shower on 03/14/2017!!! i said you are call me on 13th and i suppose to stop by tomorrow to pick up my product. The harm I got from the UN-experienced, careless and unprofessional of customer service of Mr. Ryan and management of Mr. Woody as follows: 1- Licensed contractor will demolish the whole Bathroom and will cost me $7,000 i paid him in advance $4,000. The agreement that will start on 03/16/2017 which never happened because the stand shower will not arrived to the store! 2- when i inform the Contractor that he can not start on 03/16/2017 he rescheduled me the first week on September because he is booked! and of course the $4,000 will stay with him 3- I canceled the Hotel reservation since i booked 8 days in a hotel till he finishes. 4- I am leaving the country on vacation 03/28/2017. everything was messed up because there is no coordination from lowes management with the vendor who deals with at a Daily base. if you as Lowes are unprofessional don't expect to deal with a professional vendors. I'm very upset with my bad experience and if no one who cares about Lowes reputation I will cancel my order and I will go to HomeDepot and i will contact the Media , channel 4 and channel 7 to give them a clear picture about my experience with Lowes and pretty sure they will take it from there. Vincennes Indiana What a sorry store. It was full of happy hard working employees a year ago. Well that's all over. This so called store manager Martin Wagner has destroyed the entire staff. I have heard & witnessed horror stories from longtime & former employees. With all I've personally witnessed & add on employee abuses, this so called manager continues to VIOLATE FEDERAL LABOR LAW & EXTREME VIOLATION OF EMPLOYEE CIVIL RIGHTS. Evidently HOME CORPORATE OFFICES are not aware of his extreme abuse of power. I've watched many friends & friends children's schedules disappear from one day to the next. Schedules changed in mid shift. Longtime loyal employees lives being flipped just because he thinks he can. Guess what I'm going to encourage every single person I know to file a lawsuit or join a class action against this out of control Nazi. Several that have experienced a medical issue have been treated as if they are at fault, then their schedule is modified to the point of nonexistence or to the point they quit. Due to this one horrible manager I will propose a full on boycott of this store , there are plenty of other stores to purchase the exact same products at just steps away. This is a very sad situation that has been allowed to happen. Shame on you. Shame on you for allowing this loose canon reek havoc on good people & a loyal community. 3 assist store managers have quit since this man has arrived. Once a store full of happy loyal employees that loved their job, loved the company. To despising it. Something is seriously wrong. My suggestion is a full investigation. I came to store and was told to order item online. Went home, made the order in a week got an email and voice mail confirmation for pick-up. Lowes in Big Flats, New York - So called Managers are less than antiquate
Worked at Lowes for a few years, average pay, terrible benefits, managers didn't have a clue, we actually asked 4 managers the same question and all had a different answer... Schedule you to work a closing shift then have you open the next day, not too smart on safety. Would over schedule deliveries and expect the drivers to work overtime. Will not allow you to use your vacation time when you want and will not allow you to be off more than 9 consecutive days in a row. Give you sick time but if you use more than 5 days in a rolling year they write you up. Managers at our store were sexting hourly employees and when turned in for it the HR manager looked the other way. Glad I am out of there, will never return, good luck and good riddance.

Been a customer for years and never had a complaint Spent thousands always been satisfied Bought a hot water heater 3 or 4 days ago was told while loading it box was opened because it was on a shelve brought it home contractercame to install it was highly damaged took it back was credited but was lied talked rudely to by some one called joe who would not give last name The men who loaded it knew it was damaged Joe claimed he was an assistant manager and I asked to speak to the main manager Don't know what happened to lowes in catskill but am shocked at the apathy and lies Cant talk to a human Have no way of making formal complaint where it can be taken care of lindapshay@gmail.com

Negligent misrepresentation of Lowes installer being qualified and insured
Lowes of Catskill and Lowes' contractor David Bacucci of Country Mtn. Corporation are guilty of negligent misrepresentation of Bacucci being a qualified roofer who was fully insured and vetted by Lowes to perform roofing resulted in extensive property damage and economic loss. Lowe's was intimately involved in the purchase of roofing repair services, had a duty to us, promised that they only use reliable, skilled workmen who are fully insured for the work; that Lowe's breached this duty. When roofer caused extensive property damage due to careless work, it turned out insurance policy had roofing exclusion, contractor only insured to deliver appliances for Lowes. Not install roofing, yet on two occasions Lowes Specialist Lars White brought David Bacucci to property to provide roofing estimates and represented him as working for Lowes" "fully vetted by Lowes" and having "full documentation of insurance." Lowes Store Manager, Rodney Mata tendered he would file a claim with Lowes on our behalf to help with repairs from water damage when roofer left raw roof exposed during heavy rainstorm. Now 90 days later, Lowes claim agent Kelly Jo Hill has been totally unresponsive and combative regarding claim. I would never use Lowes home improvement services and will make sure to spread the word of their fraudulant business practices.

Lowes lost our business and it cost them thousands
Today we had to pick out items for our new kitchen remodel and had to take our 5 lb toy poodle with us because of the contractors in the house. It was a sub zero day so we couldn't very well leave the dog in the car, and instead carried him into our neighborhood Lowes. However, when we asked for help back in the appliance department, the employee told us it was company policy that no pets are allowed. I asked to speak to the store manager to see if we could get "special dispensation" given the circumstances, but the answer was still no. So, we left. Our dog got lots of love and attention in the other 7 stores we went to and by the end of the day, we had spent $4800 in appliances, $3600 in a countertop, and $400 in tile, and $100 in paint and supplies, all of which we probably would have bought at Lowes. But, the sad part is that because of their inflexibility in dealing with our needs, I am sure that is exactly how they do business in other aspects as well. So, they've lost our business forever. Lesson learned for both of us.

Oh FYI, saying you've spent X amount of money doesn't get you anything special. If anything it sets a bad reputation on yourself as the guy who thinks he's entitled to special treatment.
