We ordered expensive blinds on 8/17/17. We borrowed a sample book for $25 and were told it would be given back when we returned the book. In typical Lowe's style, we had to fight for the refund as they said it was not on the sale slip and they did not want to refund that amount...don't remember what the amount was that they said. So from the Interior Home dept to the checkout the price changed and they can't find a record of anything. They were installed about 8 weeks later or so. All went well however the installer noticed on THE DAY HE INSTALLED them that two of the blinds were 4" too SHORT. He photographed the blinds and reported this defect to the Home Department at the Poughkeepsie Lowes. The Poughkeepsie Lowes had from the day of installation until October 15th to address the issue the installer had made them aware of. His hope was that they would send new ones and he could install them before we moved in or soon after. No such luck. Lowes did absolutly NOTHING. When we moved in on Oct 15 I shut the blind to find they were too short. I then called Lowes to notify them of this and no one mentioned that they already knew of this or that new ones had been made. The installer came back to fix a problem he had thought he had addressed weeks earlier. He took new photos and resubmitted everything. Now we have to wait another number of weeks when this all could have been avoided. Why were they cut too short to start with? It clearly says how long they should be on the shade itself. Who cut it and why did they not read the information? Unfortunately, this is typical of Lowe's; messes up the order, don't follow through and make the issue bigger than it needs to be while inconviencing the buyer and making them fed up with Lowes. At this point Lowes has a 100% mess up a custom rate. Lowes communication verbally and via their computer system is terrible. Many of the staff complain of how antiquated the computer system is and how it's hard to correct thing and to operate it in general. Once I complain online, I usually get someone higher up who fixes the problems. Going in to the store is a frustrating experience that usually takes an hour per issue. The help desk people are overwhelmed, not empathetic and tend not to fix things. The head managers will take over, make things right, give me a gift card to make up for all my wasted time and we are generally good again until a custom order is initiated.

If you've shopped at Lowe's enough times to know what is "typical" and you are still frustrated then why don't you *** off and stop shopping there? It's that simple.

Not so simple. We live in the country so there are few stores close by.

In addition, all of these issues stem from one initial visit.

We had hoped that after the last fiasco, we were done with them, however months later, thing are still popping up. Thanks for reading our post.

We purchased a refrigerator from Lowe's had it delivered, no problem. Then we bought a dishwasher from Lowe's we paid them to have it installed. After two weeks they delivered it only to tell us that they could not install it properly because they couldn't do any electrical in our county (the next one over) even though they knew they were coming to this county and had to leave us with an uninstalled dishwasher. So we paid to have the electrical done. Then called back to have them send the installers-another 14 days til they could come!!!!! We said that was ridiculous since it was their inability to install it in the first place that had lead us here. We couldn't wait for their install so tried to get it done ourselves. We then decide to go ahead and use Lowe's and they told us it would be 30 DAYS at least until they could install it!!!!!!! TINA, service manager, was unnecessarily awful and rude. Needless to say we are extremely upset. I will NEVER AGAIN use Lowe's for anything in anyway. Unfortunately this is AFTER giving them THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS!!!!!! STAY AWAY FROM POUGHKEEPSIE LOWES!!!!!!!

I worked for Lowes in Gibsonia PA as a PSE also the same things happen there. LOWES has zero training.

For this position I didn't come from the store I came off the street so all the computer programs were new to me. FACE IT LOWES SUCKS.

the sales managers for the pse's have never sold in the home ever they don't know the systems, the only things these people do is send emails. GREG KOHAN IS A *** HEAD

Lowes review in Poughkeepsie, New York: Upset

I purched a GE washer paid over $400.00. The washer started by making a flute kind of noise every now and then that the super cycle was used. I call to schedule a service call and of course the man that came to look at it didn't know what to look for becuase the washer did not make the noise. The second time it happen I opened the from ot the machine and recorded the noise and I notice that the soap was coming out close to where the belt is so I took pictures. when the service company came out again I showed him the pics. and he heard the noise that I recorde and of corse he still did not know what the problem was. But he said that he was going to order a (washer water level sensor) because he thought that was the reason the soap was coming out. But 15-20 minutes later he left I tried to do a load and the machine did not agitate nor spin I called the person back and he told me he was going to try to go back he though this time was the motor. Never came back never called me back I call them they said that instead they were going to call lowes advantage to approve of a buyout meaning replacing the machine because the motor was too expensive and buying a new machine was cheaper. 5 days later Lowes denied the claim because apparently the service company wrote on their report that there was no problems found with the washer. I am so pessed off because they didn't even looked at the machine after it stopped agitating nor spinning. Now a third service call have come out of pocket to see what is really going on with the washer. I paying for extended warranty service I have paid from my money for them to come out luckily it will be a different company, not Manassas Appliace (703-369-3114) they don't know what they are doing.

Lowes review in Poughkeepsie, New York: Supervisors need communication skills

Supervisors need to trained in communicating with the staff in a professional manner. If your staff is in a good mood the customers will notice it and will most likely shop there because they will think this company cares about its employees. Lowes is a warehouse with home improvement merchandise. Most people who go there will need assistance. If they are greeted with a smiling face and a willingness to help the customer that customer will be back. If your employees are upset at their supervisor because he/she do not know how to talk without screaming or using profanity, this will affect their performance. Also practicing bias treatment. will cause a division among the staff. Train these people. I shop in the store in Newburgh N.Y. and I have seen how some of the supervisors behave. This should be addressed. . get
