Lowes in Schenectady, New York - Won't fix problem
Had vinyl siding installed in Feb. Have been discovering more gaps and other issues, most recently that the insulating sheeting apparently was NOT installed, nor was the existing T111 torn down as specified in the original contract. Have called cust. service FOUR TIMES and still no response. Today I am contacting BBB.

Lowes in Schenectady, New York - Carpet installation
Had carpet installed from Lowes a year and a half ago. It recently developed waves in it due to poor installation. I called Lowes and they directed me to the installation department. They stated it only had 1 yr guarantee therefore nothing can be done. Recently had another carpet installed before I realized the waves in the other. Carpet was defected from StainMaster. It developed loops and strands of carpet sticking up with black markes showing up. I have been tieing the strands together to prevent further damage. This was noted two days after put down. Pictures were sent to installer also. I was told only one loop was noted (only 1 picture was sent of this). Why is any loop noted? Over six months the problem still has not been resolved. Lowes states they are not responsible. Installation states they are not responsible, and stainmaster states they are not responsible I am out about $4000.00 STAY AWAY FROM LOWES AND THERE POOR INSTALLATION DEPARTMENT.

Original review posted by user Jun 03, 2015They provided winter plowing service and damaged both my garage door and mailbox. I asked them to replace both. One brother Ed provided reimbursement for the garage, but Larry replaced the mailbox himself. While I was out of town, I called Larry to ask about how the work was progressing on the mailbox replacement. Larry rudely shouted that he told me 3-4 times that it was done but in fact he only informed me once, and hung up on me telling me never to call him again. I have no idea of why he had such a temper tantrum. Avoid this rude and unaccommodating man who doesn't know how to work with customers, besides which his service was obviously unprofessional in addressing all the damage he caused.

Lowes customer service was truly customer friendly.
I posted a complaint about my samsung refrigerator in June. It has broken down for various reasons 5 times since I purchased it in 2009. Samsung was absolutely of no help. I did have an extended warranty which I purchased from Lowes at the same time we purchased the HORRIBLE refrigerator. They did send a repairman each time(sometimes it took weeks to get part and complete repair). The last straw was my last breakdown at Thanksgiving. I contacted Lowes customer service and low and behold they were very receptive to my problem and returned my purchase price. As far as future purchases we will be sure to use Lowes because of their product back up.
