I'm a contractor who's company uses Lowe's as their primary source of purchasing. The Lowes 1065 in Norfolk, VA is the closest and is where we do most of the business.
For the past several months, I've noticed that the store almost seems to be run with no one there. This is especially true when it come to being checked out at the registers. On at least 80% of my trips to the location, there is either only one cash register open along with self checkout. And most times the line is ridiculously long at both. Same thing at the customer service desk, one associate working both sides of a desk which at most times i'm in there has 8 or so people in line between both sides. Yet there is six registers that can check out at, and five registers at the customer service desk.
I've spoken to several managers at the store; Liz, Brett, Adam, who have stated that it's just a temporary issue because someone called out. But this is an every day occurrence it seems. I've had Adam state, on a recent visit of 03/02/16, that they've hired a bunch of new people that the issue won't happen again. Well guess what, was in there on 03/21/16 and walked into the exact same situation at 3pm. Only self checkout opened and a line going down the aisle. Where are all these "NEW PEOPLE" that were hired?
