Lowes will fire their workers unfairly!

A manager is in cahoots with the company to lie on a worker under him and cause him to lose his job 3 days before xmas and lose his insurance when he has epilepsy and now will lose his home and insurance to get his medicine that he desperately needs. This manager has joked around and kicked this worker and made fun of him because of his epilepsy but the worker did nothing to him. He called him the paint shaker, the floor cleaner because of his seizures. How can a company do this to a worker that has been with them for years. I don't see how the manager of that department can possibly live with what he has done to this guy. We have called around and there is a good chance we have a law suit. Would serve them right after what they have done. His dr. is amazed that this has happened. Anybody else out there had this problem with Lowes?

I guess this isn't a serious sight at all. Wouldn't surprise me at all for nice try, okay,ha ha, you are lying and 2 lilmaudes to be the manager or just a nut messing up this this thread.

What happened did happen enough said, we will be taking this to a further action.

Hope nothing like this happens to any of you. Goodbye!

Hogwarts I would say you are probably correct and someone was just messing around. The one thing I don't need to do is lie.

It was an unjust firing and anybody else can think what they want. If it was you, I guess it would be different. The thing is, people should not be fired and put off their job for joking and especially when the manager has done it to this person.

My story didn't need to add up to anybody elses. We know what happened and so do several others that work at that store.

I think in the end they will come thru to tell about this manager and the Hr woman.

Just sad this stuff can happen to people. Was wondering if anyone else gets treated like this at Lowes?

The above comment about the stealing and hands shaking and things dropping into the pockets was Not made by me. Maybe the guilty manager has found this site.

Hmmmmm The HR at the Xenia store is a very unfair person. She has her picks in the store and that is the way it is. Its a shame that people can't go to work and make a living these days.

There is always a bad apple at every establishment it seems. They need to stop and think how they would feel if it was them or their family member.

Look up the Americans with Disabilities Act.

File a complaint with the local Equal Rights Commission.

Don't look to a lawyer, because they're only interested after the damage has been done, that's where their money comes from, a percentage of the damages.

Lowes leaders are incompetent, and their management is bottom of the barrel.

Lowes in Amsterdam, Ohio - Screwed over for being responsible

Applied for job @ lowes. Had interview scheduled for 9 a.m. Friday. Got phone call today at noon to reschedule for 2:30 p.m tomorrow. Informed HR rep that I couldn't make it because I have to go into work @ that time. She tells me she isnt coming in till 12 so its either at that time or sometime next week. I said fine make it for next week. She says I'll call u back with new time. Later in afternoon get email saying thanks for your interest but regretfully we are selecting other candidates. Well if thats the way they are going to act the they can all go to ***. Don't want to work for them now. I'm being responsible for showing up at my current job and getting penalized by another company for it. I was just looking for some extra cash. Screw them. Can imagine how they treat employees. Actually spoke to some former ones and was told that they quit because company dont treat them right. I now see its true.

Lowe's obviously has a bad employee conducting the hiring interviews. At least, one that does not take her job seriously. Perhaps she is more concerned with her hair styling appointment or the kid's babysitter, or her upcoming "personal day." In any event, now you have an idea of how and why a large organization can be so messed up.

Lowes in Youngstown, Ohio - Did not deliver as promised for 3 appointments.

Very, very unhappy with Saia freight company. They set 3 delivery appointments within a week and did not show up. We took the necessary time off work to be there for the shipment and they didn't even bother to call. They had one poor excuse after another. We are now waiting on the 4th appointment which was scheduled at 10:00am and it's 3:00pm and they are not here. We will be filing a formal complaint with Lowe's Home Improvement and Levelor Blinds. This experience has been extremely frustrating and they don't seem to be concerned. Don's use them.

Here we go again....just another Lowe's customer expecting something as if it was due to him because he was going to spend some money at Lowe's. Just go to Home Depot and be the thorn in their side. PLEASE

Handicap spots are determined by the city or township NOT the business. Carts are approx $6k each and are torn up daily by customers who don't care. I agree buy one yourself.

At what point did it become the responsibility of a retail establishment to provide powered carts for customers? If you are in need of a wheelchair, by all means quit being a tight fisted, penny pinching drain on society and buy one for yourself.

That was helpful. After reading a lot of reviews about Lowe’s installs, I am thinking of going with someone else to install Lowe’s countertops we picked out.

Now I am considering not using them for the top at all. Yikes!

I went to Lowes in North Canton, Ohio to make a purchase. The cashier told me my total was $1,200. I told her that sounded high when I gave her my debit card. She finished the transaction and handed me m receipt. I stood there and looked at the receipt and did not...

I ordered 2 windows and 2 doors. They wanted me to sign a blank contract as both were custom sizes.

When I requested the order be spelled out on the contract they were very upset with me, how dare I ask them to tell me what I'm paying for. Like everyone else it took 5 trips to Lowes, numerous phone calls and they were installed after almost 3 months.

Then I see on my Visa bill they overcharged me over $700. I WILL NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH LOWES AGAIN.

Here ya go guys. I'm not sure where the info is coming from but here ya go.

#1: Consumers get a 5% discount when they use their Lowes card.

#2: Contractors get 5% disount + deliveries for $20 + QSP for $2500 OR more(QSP stands for Quote Support Program). This typically takes about 5 minutes to get an answer. In reality, it usually takes just a few seconds. The extra time is for plugging in the info. I've only had one take longer than 2 seconds and it was a $50,000 wiring order.

#3: GSA: This is for government programs(schools, etc.) and is an ADDITIONAL 2% above and beyond the 5% for having a Lowes business account.

The discounts: What is really happening here is that Lowes does not have to pay Discover, AMEX, Visa, or Mastercard when you use any type of Lowes credit card. The savings is passed directly on to the customer.

Lowes in Youngstown, Ohio - Lowe's

I recently posted a complaint about Lowe's management and their attitude when I purchased a riding lawn mower. I am please to announce that not only were things resolved but the district manager agreed to sell me a self-propelled mower that sold for $269.00 for $ 134.50 to soothe the ruffled feathers for compensation for the aggravation caused by the store's management team. I wrote to the district manager that if the store assistant manager had asked me instead of brushing me aside, I would have settled for 4 quarts of lawn mower oil, a spare spark plug and a spare air filter. But because the manager and assistant manager had attitudes, I said the *** with it. Also, I only used the new riding mower for a total of LESS than 2 hours when it developed engine problems. I have used mowers over the years with Briggs-Stranton engines and never had any problems. I called and talked to the saleman and told him my problem. He put in for an emergency exchange and arranged to have a new riding mower delivered the next day with the assistant manager's blessing. The new one is working like a charm. I guess it does pay to talk to corporate and they get in touch with the district manager and alls well that ends well.
