This is all because the door installer got paid half as much on this Lowe's job that he would have made if you had dealt with him directly. Only an idiot or a *** desperate door installer would agree with Lowe's to do installs for them and make half their normal profit.

Details
Showed up 4.5 hours late. Broke the refrigerator that was going from the houae to the garage. Put a 4" scratch in my front door. Told one guy about it. They got in the truck and left. No paperwork or anything. Also used VERY dirty gloves. This left black marks on the refrigerators and the front door that my wife had to clean off. Would not use them again!!!

I had a credit card with Lowes. I made every payment ahead of time and paid more than the minimum payment. They closed my account because my credit score went down some. That shouldnt matter when they previosly approved it and i was a customer in good standing. Never a late paynent. I will now be shopping at Home Depot.

You'll find that ANY credit card company that has those stipulations in their terms and conditions can close your account or lower your spending threshold. This is not Lowes' fault.

HD isn't better, so I don't know why people make the threat "I'm going over there... blah blah"

Lets start with the fact that you never had a credit card with Lowes. You had a credit account with a credit company that issues cards to be used at Lowes.

It's obvious you didn't bother reading all the fine print on the application you signed for the account. If you had, you would know that they may from time to time check your credit rating and adjust your credit limits based on your ratings. That means they may increase or decrease your limit depending on your credit score. You have done something to decrease your credit rating and the decided you are a poor risk and closed your account.

You may find that the company that issues your Home Depot card may do the same thing in the future. Keep paying your bills on time and cut back on how much outstanding debt you have to rebuild your credit.

Nothing but delays and run around from Lowe's with a 10,000 full house carpet purchase. Complete disappointment until installation day. The 2 installers were beyond deligent in their work ethic. Came at 9am and 12 hours later finished the 2500 Sq ft house in one day meticulously. Went above and beyond!!

How long did you allow between coats? What is the humidity in the rooms?

I've learned over the years that temperature and humidity can make a big difference in dry times. The paint can may say 8 hours, but that is in ultimate conditions. Living in a northern climate I've painted walls in the house that have taken 24-36 hours to completely dry in the winter. Yes, they felt dry to the touch but adding additional coats after 8 hours caused the paint to sag a it hadn't fully dried.

After sanding the walls and allowing the extra drying time everything went fine. You may find you just need to allow more dry time.

Do you consider your painters "professional" because they have a business and charge you to do the painting? Most painter that have been around for a while wouldn't be using a color changing paint meant to make painting easier for do-it-yourselfers.

Sorry to hear others have had the same bad experience with Kraft Maid and Lowe’s. They never replaced the cabinets or repaired defects inbour grouted tile floor.

They stall and frustrate people until you just give up.

Poor customer service for sure. Hire a local tradesman with good reviews, best advice.

Seems like every time we have a Lowe’s delivery they call and tell us their truck broke down! And to add insult on injury we have already waited the entire day! So the driver tells us we need to call the store right away and reschedule a new delivery date. So we call, and after the store clerk asks our name 4 times in the same conversation, she finally says she can’t reschedule our delivery until the truck comes back in! That makes no sense whatsoever! I’m so tired of dealing with this crap!! This same crap happened with my original whole household appliance order in 2001 and then again with my fence order a few years later. If their prices didn’t beat the competition I would not buy appliances from them ever again! Maybe it’s time to get new trucks or come up with a different excuse! So fed up with this crap!!

1-8-17 went to order doors, waited forever found out installer quit. Waited some more, talked to manger said was looking for new installer. Finally hired one. Waited some more, first day he was to show up truck broke down. Waited some more. Second time showed up at wrong house but then did show up.went back to lowes to now to order doors, waited some more.first time to install doors he was in a wreck, no show. Second time to in stall said door was damaged, had to reorder. Third time to install said hardware was not there, we called lowes they said it was there, manager tried to call them with no answer, said he would call us back, he didn’t. It is now 1-27-18 and still no doors..

I purchased an expensive refrigerator cartridge from lowes recently and was unable to return it without a reciept. I paid cash for it and apparently they have no way of tracking it. The clerk said there was a block on my ID to return this type of item. She indicated that these things many times are stolen. Its their Corporate policy not to accept the return. Way to go Lowes Corporate. I will not return out of principle. To infer that i stole the item completely unacceptable and maybe actionably.

This is a common policy at many retail stores. You are the problem, not Lowes.

It isn't their fault you couldn't hang on to the receipt. Stores have to protect themselves from shoplifters who try to return the products they stole. People who actually pay for the products they are taking out of the store will have a receipt. A shoplifter never will.

The only way to protect themselves from the thieves is to limit returns on high price items and the quantity of no receipt returns a person can make.

They also do not return cash without a receipt, only store credit and usually for the lowest sale price an item sold for. In the future, hang onto your receipt, if in fact you got one, and avoid the problem of returning products without a receipt.

Compared to other retailers, Lowe’s is fairly lenient on their return policy. If you pay cash, there is no way to tie the purchase to you without a receipt.

However they will take take the return in good faith, in order to accomodate the customer, with the showing of your ID.

The only way they will put a “block on an ID” is if there are multiple returns without a receipt, they search the records and find discrepancies.
