Details
Contracted for kitchen remodel. Lowes abandoned the contract and remodel when mistakes were discovered and repairs needed. Contacted Lowes President, Lowes Executive Customer Service, Local Building Inspector, BBB, and Ohio State Attorney General. VERBALLY, Lowes admitted mistakes. In writing, Lowes Central Production Dept is closing the case with no repairs to unsafe electrical. They have defaulted on contract by refusing to complete remodel, fix fire hazard, did not deliver one cabinet or install, etc.

Any updates on the situation? We have similar issues where they delivered cream and brown countertops when we picked grey and white and are refusing to replace it, not to mention the 15 other numerous issues that have gone on with mis-measurements of cabinets and nickel and diming is for things they cannot provide that we have already paid for...

Lowe's doesn't do remodels. They contract it out to local contractors.

You will actually need to sue the contractor.

Lowe's can and will weasel out of any and all liability for the work that has been done. Your attorney will figure that out pretty quickly.

My location is so incompetent. I can't believe the problems that I have had. I hired Lowes to install a storm door and there has been no communication and the store is calling me asking who their contractor is. I have no idea. I have called the store numerous times and used the texting feature, I texted with Jenna and then Faith and the were no help. I spoke with store manager Brain and all he did was push the issue off on someone named Brenda. I can't get ANYTHING solved. My next step is to hit social media and then maybe something will be done. If not then at least I hopefully can stop this from happening to someone else.

A few steps to consider contacting new CEO Marvin.Ellison@lowes.com. Contact Lowe’s Excutive Customer Care.

You can definitely use social media. We have been living in a hotel for 39 days now thanks to Lowe’s. Be sure to report to BBB.

My Mom, a senior living in PA, paid for Lowe's to install Stainmaster carpet. She examined carpet b4 being removed from truck...was the wrong one!

She ordered the best quality and they sent a less superior type. She refused delivery and now waiting to reschedule.

I FIRST BOUGHT A NEW WASHER & DRYER ON SEPTEMBER 6TH THEN THE NEXT DAY I CHANGED WHAT I WANTED TO ANOTHER BRAND HIGHER IN PRICE, I WAS GIVEN A N DELIVER DATE, WHICH DID NOT HAPPEN THEN I WAS GIVEN ANOTHER DELIVER DATE WHICH THEY BROUGHT OUT TWO DIFFRENT COLORS, THE DRYER WAS SCRATCHED UP WITH DENTS ON THE SIDE, THEY DID DELIVER TWO WEEKS LATER, BUT THE DELIVER TIME WAS MORE THAN THE TIME THAT WAS GIVEN TO ME, ALTHOUGH I REC'D A CALL ON A FRIDAY WHICH SAID THAT I WILL GET ON SATURDAY, THEN I REC'D A CALL BACK TO SAY I WAS NOT ON LIST UNTIL SUNDAY.

So not only did we really lose a truck around the holiday, we had 2 injured workers. People need to stop assuming.

You must live in an extremely small, boring town if every vehicle that is totaled in an accident makes the news. More often than not the accidents that make the news involve fatalities. Being a Holiday weekend makes it even more believable that they had to cancel your delivery as it would have been harder to find a replacement vehicle on short notice.

I ordered a wood fence panel. It was a special order purchase and was told it will be 2 weeks. Ok that's fine. My receipt even states 7-7-2014 which is exactly 2 weeks also.. So on the 7th I walk in and ask for the panel. The lowes employee looks it up and tells me that it is has been set back 2 days so return on the 9th! Ok whatever So two days later I get a phone call sayin the wood panel is in. Come and pick it up. So after work I drive to the Lowes (btw you have to pick up special orders at customer service) walk in and ask for the panel. So now the kid working up front pulls up my info but has no idea where it's at.. A couple other employees that a look, make phone calls to lumber yard and no one answering. So he disappears and looks for the panel himself. 10 minutes later he returns and no panel! So what's going Lowes? I got a phone call saying it was in, I come to pick it up and nobody knows anything. Isn't there a special order items bin or area!? Who made that phone call? Did they acully physically unload and set this panel aside?? I'll be returning tomorrow and hopefully get my panel..

Lowes in Cincinnati, Ohio - 300 dollar power washer quite working

I have found another reason to not purchase some items from the 'big box' hardware stores. Lowes is generally a handy place to purchase some items (i.e paint, lumber, flowers, lights). If I had thought about it before I purchased the power washer I would not have purchased this type if item from Lowes. I paid cash 300.00 cash for a nice Troy-Built power washer. I used it three times last year for a total of eight hours. I ran it out of gas before I stored it for the winter. I pulled it out 2 days ago and filled it with new gas and started it. It ran for 3 minutes and quite. I called Lowes and was told I needed to contact Troy-Built for warranty service which I did. I was told it sounded like a gas related issue since there might have been some gas left in the reservoir that separated over the winter and clogged the jets. This is not covered by the warranty. I was told to clean the carburetor and reservoir and try it again. I contacted my smaller local hardware dealer who sells power washers and was told if I had purchased it from them they could have their service department check this out. That is the advantage of buying these type of items from a local dealer and other over the shelf stuff from the big box stores. Lesson learned.

The gasoline is not as bad as the broken pump you probably have because you left water in it when you stored it in your shed. Sorry but warranties can't fix ***.

Lowes in Cincinnati, Ohio - Refusal to honor their words on $1059 dishwasher

Purchased $1059 Electrolux dishwasher installed obn 6/29/11. Didn't clean dishes-terrible. They sent out repairmen who blamed it on detergent-we were using Cascade cubes that came with it. Also said we needed to run water from faucet til it was steaming hot before starting dishwasher. Still wouldn't even rinse out coffee from cups. Lowe's kep reassuring us not to worry they would replace it if we weren' satisfied. Had repairmen again-this time they consulted with Electrolux while here and they said it had been recalled for a defective part. Ordered part and replaced. Worked better for awhile but then back to same ole, same ole!!!! Decided not to worry til after Christmas as Lowe's totally aware of our problem. So I called last week and they said, "don't worry, we'll take care of you." They referred us to Corporate Office who said, "we'll send a repairman out". I was furious by now and said we want to replace it with a different dishwasher. It doesn't clean! Found out that is impossible without three service calls. I said that we've had 3 and they only have record of 1. Only count it if a part was replaced-I hung up on him. $1059 shot!!!!!!!

the lowes lumber store in colerain ohio/cinti suburb,,,,,,,evry time i go in there to buy lumber/hardware i cant seem to be able to select or decide the products or quanity i need .cause i keep getting shuffled out the section ,cause thats when they decide to bring out their forklifts to stock their shelfs,an this is not due to people buying up everything.they are allways rude saying that i have to leave the area,when im right in the middle of loading my stuff on the cart,thats what their supposed to do after they close.an when i go in to pay my bill every month they never say thank you or nothing!it seems like that the only thing that the young 21yr old managers want to do is talk about their love life with their coworkers instead of payn attention to the customer!,,,,,,i see it every time i go in to a lowes store.,,,,they are a joke ,iv done business with them for over 15yrs an spent a lot of money there,today the straw broke the cammels back.,,,,,i wont be back there anymore. its home depot from here on out

ummm....did you ever think they blocked the aisles to get something down for a customer? Some of the topstock is too heavy to bring down on a ladder.And if your in that much of a dam hurry go to the depot.

Your are so right. It's darn hard to shop Lowes or Depot when they close off aisles when the store is open.

They need to stock at times the stores are not full of customers.

I've been is stores with half a dozen aisles closed during the middle of they day. Sorry, I'm not going to stand around you stores waiting for aisles to open before I can get to the product I want.

Rnb, I hear ya. Now-a-days you have to go in without any realistic expectation of service or even common courtesy.

Not their fault, its just the society we live in.

If you dont believe me just check out the home depot complaints on this forum and see all of the other guys switchin to lowes. It will just go back and forth all day long; welcome to retail in 2010.

Lowes refuse to honor their claims

I was on the market for a new washing machine. lowes' sale rep convinced me on one of the GE model for $599, guaranteed to be the lowest price on the market, and offering me 10% off if i applied a lowe's credit card. After I bring back with Home depot advertised model(the same model) for $ 100 less, lowe's sale rep told me that he can match the price only, and 10% off with credit card application wont be available. The funny thing is that they even had this AD stating that 10% off to beat any other local store price on the same model. Lowes's sale rep refuse to honor it at all.

Read the fine print. Price matching happens in everyday prices, not sale prices.

And most stores state that they will only beat the price match by a percentage if asked to do so by the customer. And if they do comply with that, they can no longer do the discount when opening a store card because the system will not let stores stack discounts.
