Lowes in Altoona, Pennsylvania - District Big Wig

I dont know why the bosses get excited about the DM's coming to the store. Its like christmas for me, it means there will be soap and paper towels in the bathroom. It also means that most of the worthless blueberrys will be doing some real work which means my one man show might actually get some help. Lowes should change their commercial to say "we'll kill the morale of every employee by asking for more and giving you less. At least at Burger King I got a bonus for christmas. Lets all rise up employees, take a stand.

This made me laugh... Our DM is in our store DAILY...

Also, our Zone mgrs are constantly on the floor, helping customers, bringing town top stock, zoning the depts.

Sounds like you work for a terrible store.

(we bonus every quarter! ) :grin

What are you up to. Unless you are up to something this would not bother you. Probably ruining your plans of shoplifting.

Think about this... Black Friday...

The biggest shopping day of the year. Think of how many users Facebook has? and how many people may have known about these codes... When a sudden influx of activity happends on a site.

it crashes... it has nothing against Lowes

You should be lucky that Lowes hired someone with a third grade education level. Everyone knows that you begin proper nouns with a capital letter, and begin the pronoun with a capital letter.

You can't even spell cause correctly, not can you spell focus. Frankly most companies require at least some high school education before hiring.

No other company would hire someone with a third grade education such as yourself. I bet this is the only reason you are not quitting because other companies rejected you and told you they were looking for someone with at least some high school education.

Lowes in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania - Lowe's extended warranty

Lowe's has completely dissappointed me. We purchased an expensive front loader from them with the extended warranty. Long story short, we were sold a lemon. It has had a draining problem, which we have had serviced 5 times. They have given me the run around, blown me off. I have wasted countless hours on the phone and lugging my laundry from house to house. They never can fix the problem. I will never step foot in a Lowe's again! Shame on me for not going to a mom and pop store that deserves and needs my business- and one that will stand behind its products and warranties.

What kind of drainage problem? Many times the store installs washer incorrectly.

The drain hose needs to only be about 3-4" in the drain pipe. If you put in farther, it will create a siphon and will not work correctly.

I hope your issue is a simple one like this to correct. If not, I am sorry.

Lowes in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania - Poor Customer Service

My husband and I are remodelling our home so I am a frequent customer to Lowe's 2385 in Sayre, PA. After my encounter yesterday with the woman at the return desk I had to say something. It was a simple cash return as always and yet her attitude is always very unpleasant, never a hello or have a good day. As you first enter the store, she glares at you. Her name is Elaina and she has a nasty attitude to go along with her tattoos. Not someone I would want representing my store. Management should rethink their employees.

Lowes is O.K. for it's return policy

In a correction to the person that filed a complaint on Lowes return policy. If you were patient enough to read the Lowes policy sign that is posted (HUGE) by every return desk in over 1700 stores, Lowes also reserves the right to refuse return for any reason. As a business, to reserve the right for something, post it on a sign, have the federal government monitor that right means---there is no hidden agreement and as an AMERICAN store, as long as it is written in their policies and procedures, that is honoring their return policy. You have the right to refuse passage of strangers in your house. If I came to your do your front door, as a stranger and wanted to sell you something that was foreign to your knowledge---do you have the right not to buy it? If you buy something at one store and try to return it to a another store that does not even have it assigned to their inventory, they have the right(posted as a policy for the WORLD to see)to REFUSE return. Please correct and remove that statement. Oh, that's right, you also have the right to publish or print LIES. I have the right to sue.

What! No one has anything to add to this.

23 hits in apprx. one hour. Someone please respond to the truth. We as americans love to complain.

Well complain "bout" this --- we are all selfish and weak.

When do we actually stop and reason and give credit or try to understand the facts. We are so caught up with how cool and smart "Criminal Minds" may be, do we for one minute try to reason how stores do business.

Would I be allowed to post my complaint on your site? I might try just to see how long it stays there remembering to print the comments each time a new post is entered. Writing under assumed names, mine included. Posting sexual: vulgar; disgusting; malicious things...

You can all breathe a sigh of relief! If nobody at Lowe's or the webmaster of this site is going to end this personal war, I am. As far as I am concerned, this matter is now out of my hands. Say what you will about me and fun in doing so. I have told the truth and I have not hidden behind my screen name, nor have I involved innocent people, in doing so.

I refuse to continue this pathetic game you got going.

In closing I will say, it is nice to know what does go on in Lowe's Store's across the Country.

I do believe this is what you, yourself stated:

I was fired from Lowe's because I blew every truck driver I could. I would even blow the UPS guys.

Lowes in LaVale Md Couldn't care Less about the customers and employees

Lowes in LaVale Md cares only about profit, that is it. They obviously treat their people like ***. The customers are treated equally as bad. I even had one fellow tell me (who is staunchly anti-union)that "Lowes needs a Union because they treat their people so badly. He is a contractor! When I go in there, only a few faces are familiar. Most are new hires, mostly unknowledgable yound kids. When I need help, I need someone with experience in that department and the products. Not some snotty nosed young kid proficient with his cell phone! Please do not get me wrong, there are good, knowledgable people in that store, but they are far and few and in between. Management seems to be the dregs of the area. Perhaps, if Lowes had some competition like Home Depot or Menards, things would change. But for now, no competition is in sight, so that store does what it wants to do.

Helpful Hint:

Actually, the button canceling you hear at the end of the day is NOT to lower the average time. While it is true that each department in the store gets graded on average time to answer buttons (company goal is 60 seconds; my store's goal is 45 seconds), the number of button hits is also tallied up.

The more button hits you have in your department, the more it looks like you're nowhere to be found. So, if employees were hitting their own buttons, they may lower their average time by a second or two, but they would be raising their button hits as well.

This is not something they would do. The buttons are actually tested every night in order to make sure they are all operable, as batteries do wear out and sometimes the programming can be lost.
