Bottom Line: Took 3+ weeks to get a door installed. (Actually the total timeline was 4 weeks and 2 days).
First trip: measure door. Second trip: attempt to install a new door onto an existing jam. End of day: jam, trim and door unserviceable. Door jam totally cut out so that the hinge was screwed down to the King Stud 2X4.
They had 'missed' the first round handle cut on the door so it was partially cut out. They were going to leave it that way, thinking it was 'ok'. I had to stop them...and demand it all be fixed. Second trip: brought new door.
Didn't bring jam or trim. Decided to leave since they didn't have the materials. Third trip: brought a new pre-hung. Problem - door opened wrong way.
Went back to shop to find the correct pre-hung door. They later installed it. Great work - finally. The first two crews were trying to do work that wasn't within their skill-sets.
The last crew was professional and very knowledgeable. It will be a cold day in *** that I would use Lowes Installation Services for any project in the future.
