Lowes won't step up !

3.0
Details
We had Lowes install our new kitchen granite countertops in their new countertops in our 2 1/2 bathrooms. When the installers came to install the countertops the kitchen countertops fit and looked outstanding. However, the bathroom countertops were apparently measured work but improperly and did not fit. The installers had already removed and destroyed the existing countertops so they could not be set back in place. Additionally, while attempting to "make" them fit there was extensive damage to the walls. This occurred in October of 2014. Super Bowl weekend January 2015 the new cabinet countertops were installed in repairs are made to the walls. We spent the Super Bowl weekend with our children out of town in Nashville Tennessee and return two days after repairs were completed to find the house flooded from the top floor down. The extensive damage included flooding in three bedrooms two bathrooms the entire kitchen living room and dining area. I first called the Lowes was made as I was standing amidst the flooding with water coming from the ceiling fans and light fixtures as well as flowing into the air-conditioning ducts in the floor. To date our insurance company has paid $129,000 in actual construction cost as well as approximately $12,000 in relocation expenses. It is now November 2015 nearly a year later and we have just completed construction. Perhaps the greatest frustration was that Lowes denied any responsibility and referred us to their "subcontractors" I'm still paying for the countertops and installation and have nothing to show for it from Lowes.

Yikes...you always want to have someone at the home when anyone is doing work, or even paid to clean the house..always....just too much could go wrong, stolen, gone through etc

That's crazy. .I could not imagine walking into that..like you would see on a movie...I have a friend's mom whom had lowes install kitchen laminate floor..not a very big area, and they pulled the dishwasher out to install "the right way" they ruined the dishwasher, and messed up the floor and cut it in small sections and they sent people out, take pics, sent peple from the manafactor out....it's been 4 years and she eventually just "ate the cost" and she had someone else to fix it once she realized they would not help, and found they didn't lay floor right, and there was a small leak from dishwasher that was seeping under the laminate (she has issues with it bending up, they tried to say because she used water to mop cause it) and it leaked through her walls, and into her laundry room and down into basement from when she ran the dishwasher and didn't know it was leaking. Had mold growing and everything..these peple are like 70 ish and sure had no pulled the dishwasher out or anything since lowes workers had...but thank goodness their insurance state farm helped them and got things replaced

Lowes in Tellico Plains, Tennessee - Happy Holiday??!!

1.0
Details
Months ago I planned to order Levalor Blinds from Lowes, picked up the book looked at materials, no call from a request made. Was told they didn't have my number. NOT true. I have them in my contacts with them calling me on my cell. After them explaining to me they called the wrong number I went ahead and let them send out someone to measure my windows. I was delighted to see them delivered within 10 day, week before Thanksgiving. Installer didn't contact me until after...no real problem, just was happy he was here and they were going up. NO they weren't...!!! Order was WRONG! Ordered top down opening, remembered having the conversation with the sales girl about loving the fact they opened that way. Upon the installer taking them down and calling Lowes, I told him I needed the reorder immediately in fear of not being installed my Xmas. This was on the 2nd of Dec. Was told someone would call me from Lowes. It's the 4th and I finally called them finding out that my new order wasn't called in. Reason, picking up blinds first. I didn't care if my CC was charged 2X at this point just needed the order to be put through. Was told today that the girl who handles orders wasn't in until tomorrow and no one else could help me. I decided after thinking about it to call the manager. He told me he was sending someone to pick up the blinds today. Once again more important to pick up old blinds before ordering my new ones not caring about time and the Xmas Holiday. Finally after a girl called me to reorder only to tell me they would take 14-21 day to arrive with no guarantee of installation. I cancelled. Called the manager back only to hear him tell me "I bent over backwards to helo you" WRONG!~ bending over backwards would have been communicating with the customer 2 days ago and pushing the order through immediately since this was a in house mistake. I will never again use Lowes. I've been a customer for 40 years and they no longer care about customer satisfaction!

Lowes in Nashville, Tennessee - Damaged my condo during appliance delivery

I had ordered kitchen appliances on October 26, 2013. Lowe's delivery department changed the delivery time two times and did not bother to apologize. I left work to be at the property both times to accept delivery yet they were not there. When their employees finally came to deliver the appliances, they damaged my condo badly and had brought dented appliances. I had paid for brand new appliances and requested that they take the dented appliances back. It took the employees close to three hours to remove the dented appliances out of my property (they were completely incompetent) during which time they further damaged my property. I have been trying to talk to managers at Lowe's but everyone makes misrepresentations as to when the items at my condo will be repaired. I have wasted hours on the phone trying to talk to the store manager, then their installation department, their delivery team and just about everyone else I have been transferred over to. To this date, they have done NOTHING to repair my property that THEY damaged. I am still awaiting a response from their manager, PJ, who had said "everything will be taken care of, yet I don't get a call back from anyone, and when I call to speak to their manager, they place me on hold for 20 min each time and the manager does not answer the phone, and I am being forced to start the process all over again. "Their manager, Kathryn, who was the first person I had spoken with regarding the damage of the property refuses to assist in this matter by claiming lack of knowledge. I have tried everything to get Lowe's to repair my property with no response. Let's see if they live up to their words.

Lowes screwed up my floor installation

I bought my vinyl flooring from Lowes of Hermitage Tennessee. From the very first promise to the visit from, Larry, regional supervisor of installation Lowes fulfilled zero (0) of their promises. They did not call before delivering, or installing, just showed up! They "redefined" the guidelines for laying the louann after I had it laid and charged and extra $200 although they did not relay any of it. They charged for supplies they did not use but did not offer a refund and most importantly they installation job was totally botched! The floor is wavy, the quarter round looks like a kindergarten class installed it. I have talked with 3 different folks in the installation department: Donald, Justin, Cathy; the store manager, Stefan; and the regional supervisior for installation, Larry. Although each agreed my complaints were valid and each one is "sorry for my inconvenience" and have stated Lowes did not follow their own policy none of them actually fixed the problem. Never, never, never have Lowes of Hermitage, Tennesse intall anything in your home.

I went through the same thing with Lowe's. Three different managers at the store, as well as a manager at their HQ took all of my information, then never got back to me.

This was over a bad install that left my property damaged! Leave a BBB complaint - I did.

I had a similar situation about 5 years ago with a Lowe's here in NJ. Complained up to a national level, got nothing but a go-around.

They nailed down a laminate floor that is supposed to be a floating floor. A contractor saw this when he was installing some cabinets. The contractor they used was a total sexist pig.

I did finally sue them in small claims court and got $2500 back for the shoddy installation.

Good luck.

My experience with Lowes' carpet installation was shocking and insulting to decent, honest people. Thankfully, I halted my purchase and will never buy carpet from Lowes. On a room that measured 11' 4" by 19' 4" (rounded up to 12' by 20' - 240 square...

Same thing here. Way over on measurement. When Lowes runs a carpet special which

includes carpet, pad, move furniture, haul away old carpet at one low price - beware.

They recoup their money for all these extras by quoting more square feet than you really need!

Lowes in Jamestown, Tennessee - No Hardware for Shower Door

Upon purchasing a shower door, we noticed during the sale that the packaging had been opened; however, the sales associate assured us that the package was just torn, not opened. We purchased the door and traveled 45 miles (one-way) to install...when the box was opened there was a pack of screws that did not match the enclosed instructions...we attempted to install the door and was not able to use the enclosed hardware. I called Lowe's and they said to bring the receipt and they would take the hardware out of another box, so we could finish our installation. Went to Lowe's and they gave me the hardware. The point is: when they take parts from another boxed item, they do not replace the missing items. Which causes more problems for the next customer, that is buying the same product. This has happened more than 6 times since 2009; also, this is an extra expense for the customer and requires longer time on the job site.

Lowes in Memphis, Tennessee - Can Not Install the Refreigerator I bought from Them and Tell Me They Don't Know What to Do

I have had the worst experience with Lowes of any store I have dealt with ever. Specifically I am dealing with the Lowes in Memphis, TN on Winchester. I went to the store looking for a refrigerator and they convinced me that a Bosch Linea cabinet depth fridge was an excellent model and I purchase a model at what I think is a good deal. They can only schedule the delivery a week out which is fine I can wait. The day that they delivered the fridge they essentially just brought it into the space in my kitchen on a dolly put it on the floor, and start to push it into place at which point it starts making a horrendous noise which they insist is perfectly normal and then they leave. I should have watched them more closely and I would have known that not only did they not level the fridge at all but they also pushed the fridge into place with a large metal plate protruding from the bottom scraping my hard wood floor. And there are now parts on the bottom the fridge tha look like they are getting crushed. I call Lowes back to complain and they say they will send another guy out right away. So a couple hours later this guy arrives by himself when really this is a two man job to begin with and he looks at the fridge tells me he can't level it but that he will contact the manager to have him call me to schedule another person to fix it but in the process of trying to level it he has put the fridge extremely high in the front and very low in the back. The manager calls me back and says that he can't get someone to come out until Wednesday morning (this is on Sunday by the way). So over the period of Monday and Tuesday the fridge starts to make loud noises intermittenly which I can only assume is due to the angle of the fridge and what occured during delivery. So I wait all morning on Wednesday and no one ever shows up. I call later and speak with an assistant manager as the store manager is on vacation and she says they can replace the fridge and she will call me back. I don't hear from her for a couple hours so I call back and she says she can't bring another fridge that I have to call the Lowes service 800 number. I do so and the prompts on thei automated system just send my call to Bosch who promptly tells me this is an installation issue and I have to contact Lowes. I all the same mamager back and she says she is sure I should call the service number but will do it for me and call me back. I wait another hour and no word from her so i call her again. This time she tells me the Lowes service said this would be fine and I should just call this authorized Bosh aplliance repair company. I call them and they tell me that no they only have an agreement with Bosch, this is a Lowes Installation issue and if I have them come out it would be out of my pocket. I call the manager back and tell her this and she tells me that she does not know what to do. So now I am stuck in a situation where I have a fridge that is just getting worse, the Lowe's installers don't know how to install or fix the Bosch fridge they sold me and the Lowe's Management won't help me even though it is entirely their installers fault by their own admitance.
