Sounds like another whiner that can't take responsibility for their own actions. Why do you expect store to keep track of your receipts?

You should have file your receipt and warranty away. If you had, you could easily provided the proof of purchase they need to process a claim.

Grow up and take some responsibility for your inability to keep your own records. Bet Home Depot will want a copy of your receipt as well if you need to file a claim in the future.

Step out of the past. Self service registers are becoming more and more common.

They are so much quicker than waiting for a cashier to ring your order.

Lowes in my area doesn't have them yet but Home Depot does. I'd much rather shop Home Depot as you can check out faster.

Lowes New Discount Program

I too will start shopping more at Home Depot since Lowes stopped their Military Discount procedures. It was so great to order on line and pass the same benefits to our spouse and children. It was great that our whole family benefited from our service. No longer. Too bad! I was feeling special to offer this to my kids also.

Never had a problem at Lowe's, one of the few places that give a Veterans discount. I am a service connected disabled veteran, I would shop at Lowe's before I would set foot in a lot of other stores, hd, wally mart, ect.

Simply bring your receipt with you when you want a refund to go smoothly. Anyone who is actually a customer and paid for product will receive a receipt. With the amount of shoplifting that happens now, any return without a receipt will be treated with suspicion.

manager at waxahachie claimed that they would "take care of it" when a pole that was supposed to be secured fell and hit my truck. As a veteran who served in Iraq twice and a first responder, i am appalled that i would be treated this way and lied to. Do not trust them, they lie and will not pay for claims when their equipment damages your property. he now tells me that he "cant do anything about it".

They didn't steal your money. Manufactures of power equipment won't take it back from the stores as far to many consumers cause the problems they are having.

The manufacturers back their products with a warranty that will repair defective equipment at a service center. Take it to the service center and it will be repaired at no charge to you if it is actually defective. If the problem was caused by you (didn't put oil in it, used stale fuel, etc..) you will be charged. Don't blame the store for the problems consumers have caused by abusing return policies.

You will find this policy at most big box stores.

Your alternative is to go to a servicing dealer who will set the equipment up for you and show you how to start it and have it running before you leave their shop. Unfortunately you probably aren't willing to pay a little more for the service these dealers provide.
