Lowes - Staff Review from Houston, Texas

They have so many employees but none of them want to help. They stand around and talk to each other and point you in the direction of what you're looking for. I waited 10 minutes for a guy to help me only to tell me what I needed has to be special ordered. I told him I'll go to Home Depot. This is my third bad experience at this Lowes, I will never go back. It's Lowes on Wallisville Rd and Beltway 8, in Houston, Texas. Services sucks and employees are airheads!

Your complaint is poor. You say all they do is point but you left to go to Home Depot because someone listened to what you needed and were told it would have to be special ordered?

Guess what, retail stores can't stock everything. This individual offered to order something they didn't stock and you are still upset.

I guarantee you Lowes is better of without your type as a customer. I wouldn't want you shopping in my store.

You probably didn't ask someone working in the lumber area. If you go to the meat counter at the grocery store they probably won't know the price on an asian pear either. Everyone in a retail store is not an expert on everything sold in the store.

They are not called "pre cut" studs. Use the right term and maybe they will understand.

The overall lack of grammar in this sentence is astounding. How will people take you seriously, if this is the image you choose to project.

I pray you do not talk the way you type, or I wouldn't of wanted anything to do with you either. I hope your sake, this was just a slip.

Lowes - Staff Review from Houston, Texas

The associates in the garden center at store on jefferson hey 1877 are horrible especially a lady named Karen she says she is a waterer and doesn't help customers she sent me to another rude woman Jennifer that said I am no expert read the tag. These people are idiots. The stores aged is also not very nice. Definately not worried about the customers at that store. The garden center has nothing but rejects supposed to be working?? Lol i believe these people are totally lazy... Just there for a paycheck.

You are one of those clueless customers that think that every employee in a store knows everything about every product. WAKE UP!

They don't.

They are trained to work in specific areas with specific tasks. The first employee you encountered was hired to keep the plants watered and properly displayed, this doesn't mean she's an expert on plants. She was working and doing her job. Why do you call her lazy?

You don't say what you asked Jennifer. Reading the tags on the plants may be the best way to get information in a big box store. Don't expect an employee making minimum wage working in a big box store to have a degree in horticulture.

If you want expert advice you should be shopping at a nursery rather than a big box store. Unfortunately you won't want to pay the higher price that comes with hiring a more specialized staff.

Lowes review in Houston, Texas: Don't purchase major appliances here!

DO NOT PURCHASE YOUR MAJOR APPLIANCES FROM LOWES! I purchased a new stacked washer/dryer with an extended 4 year warranty from Lowes on February 2, 2012. 2 weeks ago my washer quit working. I called Lowes to request repair. They scheduled a repair through A&E Factory Service, 8 days out. The A&E repairman called me on his way to my home, asking the problem (which I described to Lowes on my initial call). He immediately replied that it sounded like the mother board needed to be replaced, that this was a common issue, and A&E did not keep these parts in stock and he would have to order it. After diagnosing the problem, just as he suspected, this was the problem. He said he would order the part, which should arrive in 2-3 days, but he could not come back to install it until Nov 2. This means I will be without my washing machine for over 2 weeks. $50 at laundromats since waiting for repairs. I have sent various emails and made several calls to Lowes expressing my dissatisfaction with their warranty repair service, only getting the run around. Don't waste your money with Lowes.

Oh you poor thing. Did your perfect world experience a hiccup.

Join the rest of the crowd and quit whining. Kindness and patience will get you a lot further in this imperfect world.

Look at it this way. If you hadn't purchased the warranty you would be calling a service center like A&E, waiting for the repair and paying for it. Would you be blaming yourself for the delays?

First of all, Lowe's did not manufacture the machine. Blame the manufacturer for the problem if you must blame anyone.

Secondly, you sound like a certified platinum member of the "immediate gratification" club. Things happen and if it cannot be repaired for a couple of weeks, learn to cope. Take your meds and go to the laundromat.

At least it will be fixed. Your boo-hooing is tiresome.

Wait a minute, you are blaming the wrong people. I doubt you would be better off a Sears or other stores, since this is A&E.

Lowes Shenandoah cabinets working with Lowes is wakeful!

We paid for our kitchen cabinets July 4th weekend 2013. Our cabinets were to be finished by August 12. They brought cabinets out on 8th, installed some boxes, but couldn't finish because so many parts weren't sent. They stopped. One cabinet was totally wrong, 3 attempts to fix , they are suppose to put shelves now. It's Oct 10th, still not finished, supposed to be next week. Meanwhile we can't move in the house, appliances can't be installed. It's a frickin mess. I don't know who to complain to. You can't reach corporate. If anyone knows please let me know. They don't care! That's why you pay upfront in full! Don't deal with them!

Lowes review in Houston, Texas: Bad Combo

Purchased a stove and above stove microwave, microwave handled twice now has melted due to heat from stove, store basically told me to sue them. Seems Lowes is not in any way expert in any thing and expects customers to be expert. They recommended, sold and installed combo of stove and microwave and found out they were wrong to do so with that high of BTU on front right burner. So instead of offering to help a customer and keep a customer they would rather lose a customer and a possible law suit, wonder if lowes is going broke and does not care any more. Shades of Enron

Looks like you need to go back to the 3th grade and finish your education. This is a LOWES complaint board, not a Tea Party political board.

Will Never Use Lowes!!

We purchased our custom cabinets from Lowes, they actually did the design and install. First of all, it took them 5 weeks to make the cabinet (not include the design phase) After 5 weeks wait, the cabinet finally arrived. But then we discovered some pieces were missing from the shipment. Also, cabinet sizes were wrong!!! We had to re-order the right pieces and wait for another 4 weeks for the new materials to come in!!!!!! Even the range hood they ordered was wrong, it won't fit in the cabinet they designed!! We spent a considerable amount of money on the cabinet, and we are totally disappointed. Will not recommend it to anyone!!! Will never buy any cabinets from Lowes again!!

Unrealistic expectations? You should have been advised of and given information as to how long the process may be.

If not, your designer failed you.

Kitchens are complicated jobs and even one small variation will stop a job in its tracks. You should expect 3 months +/- depending upon how 'special' your materials and your home are.
