Lowes in Nacogdoches, Texas - Extreme poor service

1.6
Details
I just bought $600. worth of treated lumber and NO One would help. Of course they had plenty of time to talk to each other. I was loading 12 foot 2x6 treated and one worker just looked at me and pass me on by, when I had it loaded, he was down the isle talking to another lowes employee. When I was loading, a lowes worker was loading some fence pickets for a man about 80, but never offered to help me load my purchases, I am 68 years old. I fell while loading the last of my 80 bags of concrete and a nice customer came and helped me up and put the concrete on my trailer. I HATE shopping at Lowes! This was in Nacogdoches, Texas

Do you also go into a McDonald's and expect them to hand feed you because your 68? Come on guy be real, the employees are not mind readers, if you need help ask.

why do you expect someone to bow at your feet when you walk in to an establishment? grow a pair and ask from some help. Maybe they were conversing with each other, go ask all of them to help and then you get out of the store, that you hate, that much faster.

People need to learn how to do things on their own. Employees are not personal shoppers.

Service is null at Lowes

I have spend approximately $25,000. the past 4 months at Lowes to redo my rent house. ONLY 3 people have been of service, the rest of the store only has people looking for paychecks without working! I bought 4 sets of outdoor doorknobs with locks and 4 deadbolts and had the man working in that department key them all the same. I put them on yesterday and found out that the keys didn't work on any of them. I carried one back to the store and a different man in that department said he couldn't fix the problem without a key that worked. I live 35 miles away and this is my closest store. I plan to take the locks and knobs off, return them. I have ordered replacements on Amazon and they will be here the day after tomorrow (all keyed alike). I also left printed out instructions asking for wire shelving to be cut to the sizes and numbers on the list. When I went back the guy was gone and the wire shelves were in my cart and NONE of them were the right size. Another problem was when I tried to get a 250' roll of 12 with ground electrical wire. I had look the time before for it and it was out. They had 100' and 50 ' rolls, but to get the 250' I needed it would cost me twice as much as the single roll. I talked to the manager and she said they had the 250' in stock, I asked her to get me one and when she looked, she couldn't find it. I had to spend twice the amount to get what I needed because their inventory count was not correct. I had two carts of lumber and other supplies, I loaded them on the carts while about 6 different employees passed by and non asked to help or to get help. The store I was in was in Nacogdoches, Texas. If I never have to go in that store again, it will be too soon.

Lowes in Nacogdoches, Texas - Asked me to apply online and then hired without interviewing anyone.

I was asked by two working members of lowes to apply for an opening they had in the store. I took the online application and completed it and there assesment test/ questionair that took twenty minutes. I am overly qualified to say the least. I grew up on a lumber store. It would seem that the position was filled without giving interviews and to someone without any experience. I see now why Lowes has problems with customer relations because the people who you are supposed to ask questions simply dont know the answer. Tried to help my home town and lowes out but got sand kicked in my face. store number 1772

That is a blessing in disguise for you, the people in that store are miserable, the managers are abusive, that store has beenm going down hill for the past 3 years, the past 2 years has gotten much worst after they got a new HR manager, finally they fired the Store Manager, but the HR manager is still there and everyone hates her. You need to thank God that you did not get hired on there, if Home Depot was to open a store in Nacogdoches, everyone would quit in a heartbeat and go to work at Home Depot.

Did it have to do with your wonderful spelling abilities?

You weren't interviewed because you grew up on a lumber store rather than in a lumber yard. :grin

I'm sure they interviewed someone...just not you.

Your pride is hurt because you didn't get a job. If you were just trying to "help them out"' don't worry about it.
