You fail to say how long ago you purchased the pressure washer. If the manufacturers warranty period has passed and you didn't buy a service plan, they are correct, there is no warranty.

No different than any other product you buy. Other stores would tell you the same thing.

Keep in mind that stores are not responsible for warranties anyway, the manufacturer is. If it is still within the manufacturer's warranty period, contact the manufacturer.

The problem is that consumers don't bother looking at the warranty. The warranty covers manufacturer defects, NOT DAMAGE.

Ripping the end of your tape off isn't a defect. It is damage and not covered under warranty.

All too many consumers feel a tape they damaged should be replaced under warranty. No store or manufacturer should be responsible for the abuse of a tool by a consumer.

Lowes in Virginia Beach, Virginia - Service

Have an extended warranty on my refrigerator. Called for service as refrig is not working. First appointment they could give me was two days later. Stayed home all day and no one came. Called back and was told the service tech wouldn't be there for 10 days. When i complained about going 10 days without the use of my frig was assured that that was not acceptable and that a supervisor would call me by the end of the next day. Still waiting for that call. Called back. After a 11 minute hold, was connected to a supervisor who could only say that they had an appointment for me and that there was no way to file a formal complaint. It was rather amazing that I called a service tech and he came out within a few hours and fixed my frig. at my expense. So call me *** for ever buying the extended warranty and call me a former Lowe's custormer

Lowes in Wytheville, Virginia - 3 Weeks Now and Still not closer to having my Mower fixed!

I purchased an extended warranty plan through lowes. My mower broke when it was almost 2 years old. I called over 3 weeks ago to have it fixed and they have set me up with 2 different companies to have it fixed. I ended up having to call the shops because I didn't hear anything from them and when I did they said they weren't taking any more customers. I called Lowes again today and they said they'll call me back in two days. Two days here, two days there and I'm at the same place I was 3 weeks ago. Ughhh so frustrating! This warranty plan is useless!

Extended Warranties or Repair plans are considered 100% profit to any major retail store. They also do not start working until the manufacture warranty has ended. As for as getting something repair that depends on the repair shop doing the repairs many of them are major backed up and it can takes weeks to months to have something fixed.

Extended warranties are just free money to box stores, especially Lowes. Don't buy them.

Lowes failed to compensate us for time lost from missed appointment

I made an appointment through Lowe's Service Advantage to have warranty work done on my Extended Protection Plan (EPP) warranty freezer. The service technician failed to show, even though my wife called Service Advantage three times that day to confirm. The sub-contractor never called us, either. Scheduled another appointment, and had another no-show, eventhough I called Service Advantage twice to confirm. Our local store was fantastic - once I explained what happened he delivered a new freezer the next day. I am going to be reimbursed for items lost when the freezer died (part of the EPP that I purchased). I've asked Lowes to reimburse my wife for her lost time (a total of 8 hours) in the form of a Lowes gift card - I feel that this is appropriate, considering the failure of the sub-contractor to arrive during either of the scheduled windows (4 hours each appointment). The executive services division has refused this request, citing that the new freezer and replacement food is adequate. I disagree - I paid for that when I purchased the EPP. The company's sub-contractor procedures are the problem; the customer is not compensated by either the contractor or Lowes corporate when the sub contractor fails to show up for an appointment. There is no accountability at this level of Lowes customer support - and that's disappointing because my local Lowes store is fantastic, from the newest employee through the store manager.

Service Advantage is a subdivision of Lowe's not a sub. I am a Lowe's customer, not a customer of their local repair service.

I entered into a formal arrangement with Lowe's, not their local sub-contractor.

It's a Lowe's business decision to hire subs instead of keeping the work in house, and it's their problem when the sub fails to perform. You're right - I got a new freezer but only after I'd been stiffed for two no-shows by their sub, and only because the local Lowe's manager is a stand up guy (unlike the executive services division).

Why are you pissed at Lowes? You should be pissed at the company that provided the service.

Yes, Lowes sold you a contract provided by another company. They are not the company that provides the service. When they found you had a problem they gave you a new freezer.

They were under no obligation to do this and went above and beyond their responsibility. It's fine to be pissed, but be pissed at the proper people, not Lowes.

Lowes sucks, don't buy extended warranties

do not buy the extended warranty, matter of fact don't buy from Lowes. They don't stand behind the product. My two year old oven died which cost $1000 dollars. Mother board dead. With extended warranty they lock you into a company that lies-makes appointments then cancels less than 48 prior. "They overbooked" give me a break-you wait one week to see your overbooked. Then send you the part right away-so now "oh we can't switch companies now that you have the part". I want to know how to reach corporate!!!! A&E service is a company that lies. Don't use them.

Lowes in Virginia Beach, Virginia - Failed to provide professional warranty service

Lowes warranty service consist of 2 visits in 2 weeks ,2 calls, another 7 days for delivery of parts ,and another 5 to 7 days to install parts. total of 28 days to fix a front loader dryer purchased 9 months ago. this is the warranty service that LOWES is happy to sale to you @ $139.00 .. MY ADVISE dont buy appliances from LOWES if they cant honor the warranty the proffessional way. you will be better off having your LOCAL appliance repairman fix it in 2 days then to have lowes' fix it within 30 days. save your money.dont buy your appliances at lowes, and surely dont pay for the warranty or extend it. go to a proffessional appliance store.

Wait a minute....if it was purchases 9 months ago it's still covered on the manufactor warranty. Not the EPP.

Your local guy can fix it then.

He will then charge the call to the vendor. Sorry for the inconvience.
