We purchased a generator and install from Lowes. They came out to our place and looked at everything before we signed the contract and paid for it.

They told us where the generator would go and that it should cost around $300 for the install from the gas company to hook it up. They said that they knew how to do it but couldn't because of regulations. Once the generator was delivered, they were going to put it on the other side of our townhouse by our neighbors, but then finally contacted the fire department to see where to put it. It was nowhere near where they'd told us it would be.

Then when we contacted the gas company to hook it up, the bill was going to be for over $3000. The local store couldn't do anything since it was the project department that did the install. We want a full refund and they refuse to give it to us saying they fulfilled their part of the contract. The people who can make a decision on this wouldn't listen to us, were extremely arrogant, and didn't call back.

They only way we heard anything was because the local store kept contacting them. They'll do the uninstall, but won't refund us for anything else. They sold us a contract without fully giving us the all the information.

We're out over $3500 and they don't care about integrity or customer satisfaction. I will never shop at a Lowes again!!!
