LG washer needs a new "control". I called on 6/18 to schedule an appointment.

Repair guy came out on 6/20 and diagnosed the "control" needs replaced. A week later, I called and the representative had no clue what was going on, and she would send an Email to some other department right away. A week later I called the warranty people again and was informed that the part was on order. One day later, they called me and said the part wan on back order, and they found a substitute part that was in stock and being shipped.

If I don't hear from them by the 15th (today is the 10th), I am to call back.

Total time elapsed: 23 days

Time elapsed by the 15th: 28 days

One month to get my washer fixed, provided it actually gets fixed.


Product or Service Mentioned: Lowes Washer And Dryer Warranty.

Reason of review: Warranty issue.

Monetary Loss: $1000.

Preferred solution: Replace washer with comparable one..

Lowes Pros: Store organization.

Lowes Cons: Extended warranty service is unacceptable.

Why are you complaining about Lowes rather than LG? When you buy an appliance made in Korea you may find a delay if their US warehouses are out of stock.

They have to wait for more product to come on a boat from Korea. It's kind of hard to complete a repair without parts.
